UNIOSUN Alumni congratulates Prince Jokotola on appointment as Olojudo of Ido Osun

The Osun State University Alumni Association extends its warmest congratulations to one of its illustrious members, His Royal Majesty, Prince Jokotola Olayinka Tunde, on his well-deserved appointment and installation as the Olojudo of Ido Osun, Egbedore Local Government, Osun State.

 

In a press statement issued by the Director of Publicity, Mr. Faleyimu Oluwasegun Funmise, the President of the Alumni Association, Mr. Abubakar Abdulbasit Olalekan, described Prince Jokotola as a beacon of excellence and a true reflection of leadership. According to the President, "His Royal Majesty’s journey from his days as a vibrant, hardworking, and amiable student in the Department of Geography—graduating as part of the pioneer class of 2011—to his distinguished career as a Deputy Superintendent of Police, is a testament to his dedication, resilience, and service to humanity."

 

As the Yoruba proverb wisely states, “Ori ti o ba maa d’ade, inu agogo ide ni o ti n wa”—The head destined for the crown reveals its greatness even in the humblest beginnings. His Royal Majesty’s ascension to the throne is not just a personal achievement but a fulfillment of destiny and a divine call to serve his people.

The Alumni Association expressed confidence in Kabiyesi’s ability to bring peace, unity, and progress to Ido Osun and its environs through his transformational leadership. The Director of Publicity further highlighted the pride of the association in His Royal Majesty’s success, describing it as a reflection of the core values of resilience, purpose, and excellence instilled by Osun State University.
